Quick Overview
Smartwatches are the new buzz word in the watch industry. These nifty little devices come packed with a host of features that will make the conventional watch run for cover. It is due in part to these features that the popularity and the hype surrounding smartwatches have only increased in this time of pandemic when other industries have been hit hard. However, the “smart’ wearable segment has never been better and is ahead of the projected estimate for the segment.
One popular Indian brand that has gained recognition as a good reliable brand in this platform is the GoNoise brand. This is a newbie in the tech world and has since its inception in 2014 churned out a few smartwatches and smart bands. These products have been well received by the market in general. This particular review is regarding their best seller “Noise ColorFit Pro”. Read to find out how well this smartwatch performs at ground level and if this is a good investment for you in particular.
Noise is a very popular brand in the electronics and accessory segment. They have a diverse product range and are known for their earphones, chargers, cameras, and cases. They have recently added smart wearables to their growing portfolio. These wearables not only combine the tech know-how of the brand but also come to you in a great stylish range.
Noise ColorFit Pro fits this bill perfectly. It is a great device aimed at those that like minimal fuss on their gadgets. A perfect choice for the budget conscious and the tech shy both. The value for money is good and the performance is on par with the price range. The feature set could be better but the one offered is fair enough by all standards.
You might find the display quality a little low but for a budget wear it is pretty normal. The fitness tracking accuracy is decent and will suit the average fitness needs. Of course, if you intend to train for the triathlon then it would be better to look for other devices that are more fitness oriented. This device brings to your wrist SpO2 sensor and a blood pressure monitor as well. So, for all of you requiring this medical feature, Noise ColorFit Pro will suit you perfectly.
As a gym buddy, you will get a good companion that tracks, monitors, and analyses your data. The activities supported are limited but for the average person, the device offers a good support structure. The camera control is more for adding another feature and pretty useless when it comes down to execution. To be fair and honest even the music control needs to be tweaked but then again for a 1st generation smartwatch these teething problems are only to be expected.
Noise ColorFit Pro – Pros and Cons
Every smartwatch has certain up selling points and certain down selling factors. It can be anything from battery life, performance, sensors, or the display type offered. The upselling ones are highlighted and the down selling points are glossed over. You should have a fair enough idea about both these points to make a smart decision. The Noise ColorFit Pro smartwatch pros and cons are hence listed below for your convenience.

Specifications Review
Display
Noise ColorFit Pro comes with a decent display size of 1.22 inches. At this size, the watch has the potential of showing various metrics and other information one a single screen and eliminating the need to toggle between screens unnecessarily. Unfortunately, Noise has not utilized this potential at all. The screen space is wasted on this watch and other than the large display dial you get nothing substantial from the space. The watch would have benefitted more if Noise had decided to keep the display smaller. At least then ColorFit Pro wouldn’t have to face this criticism.
The display is a full color LCD which does a fair job of presentation. The display resolution stands at 240x 240 pixels and the pixel density is 283 ppi. These are good numbers and lend the display a good clarity that goes a long way. The picture is nice and sharp with vibrant colors. There is a lack of depth to the colors and they do appear washed out at times, especially the bolder ones but at a budget price point, this is only to be expected.
You get good contrast levels on the display but brightness remains a problem. The auto-brightness setting is efficient enough but the overall brightness levels are not enough to counter the natural sunlight glare. This makes it difficult to get a good read when you are outside and you will have to squint to make out the fonts under direct noon sunlight. That said, the brightness adjusts almost immediately when you make the transition from dim to bright and you don’t have to wait around for the screen to adjust.
The display is low on battery consumption and does not drain the battery life unnecessarily. This is primarily because of the lack of always-on display. You can customize the watch face as well with different widgets and icon styles. It is programmed to show the time, date, step count, calories burned, and battery status on the factory default setting. However, you can customize this to include and exclude the information you want at a glance on the home screen.
Design
ColorFit Pro comes with a big squarish shaped dial that has straps attached to it to hold the dial in place and on your wrist. The whole look smacks of Apple and at one glance you will feel like it is another one of the many apple knock-offs. What saves it is the lack of the trademark crown on the side of the dial. However, even this can be seen in the successor ColourFit Pro 2.
It is 48 x 35 x 13 mm in dimensions giving it a chunky oversized look. It weighs 58 grams which is a little on the heavier side especially when compared to the other 30 to 40 gram watches. The weight doesn’t feel very heavy on the wrist even if the numbers are on the high side. You can easily and comfortably sport this watch for longer hours.
The straps are silicone material and very comfortable. They easily bend and mold to the wrist shape without any edges digging into the skin. It also has plenty of adjustment grooves so you will have no trouble getting that perfect snug fit. It comes in the standard 22 mm size and can be replaced with a third party band of your choice. This gives you an added flexibility of having a wide range of looks and colors for the ColorFit Pro smartwatch. It is also sweat-proof which makes it very comfortable for extended wear, especially during workouts.
As usual, the heart rate sensor features in the backside of the device. This gives the back a slight bump but the bump is almost negligible on the wrist. Aside from the heart rate sensor the backside of the watch also has the charging dock pins. These are used to attach the watch to the charging base.
Input
It is a full touchscreen display. This means that all the interaction with the smartwatch happens from the display itself. The smartwatch is controlled through a mixture of swipes and taps on the screen. You have to long touch or long-press on the screen to “activate” the display. Then you can swipe left to right and vice-versa to toggle between the various screens. To choose a page you have to tap on that screen and then swipe upwards or downwards to scroll through it.
Generally, there is a touch key or physical buttons on the side of the dial to reinforce and support the interactive controls but this is not the case with Noise ColorFit pro. The successor to this device “Noise ColorFit Pro 2” comes equipped with a crown on the right side much like the Apple Watch Series to help with the controls but this is not the case with this device.
The added controls through buttons and touch keys simplify the whole pattern of interaction and make it more fun as well. Just relying on the touchscreen display can get tedious especially when the response factor is not very efficient. Since this is the case with noise ColorFit Pro the interaction experience ranks on the medium to the low level. The screen generally lags in response and 2 times out of ten the screen simply doesn’t register the command. The device would have benefited a lot with an added control feature.
The display “activation” is wrist controlled. Once again the device does not register your wrist movements and you might have to lift your wrist and turn it around a couple of times before the action is registered and the display lights up for the read.
Durability
The device feels a little flimsy on the whole. The casing material is aluminum which can withstand a fall well enough but the device just does not evoke that level of confidence in its capabilities. You will find yourself being a little cautious with this one on your wrist.
Display glass comes protected with tempered corning gorilla glass 5. This means that a few knocks with reasonable pressure will not lead to any damage. The screen will not break or crack easily with a few falls. Also, it is scratch-resistant, so rough usage will not show immediately on the display front.
One disappointing factor of this smartwatch is that it does not offer full water resistance. It is only IP68 certified for water resistance. This means that you cannot submerge this device in water without damaging it. Hence, be very careful to remove this before you hit the pool or go snorkelling. Of course, raindrops and showers won’t affect the watch, just keep it away from water bodies.
Health and Fitness
You get all the basic fitness activity support that you can reasonably expect from an average smartwatch. It tells you your step count for the day, calories burned and distance travelled. You also get your heart vitals monitored by the heart rate sensor continuously. These sensors are fairly accurate with few deviations. The sleep sensor needs more fine-tuning and tends to miss out on estimations.
The heart rate sensor doubles up in this device as the SpO2 sensor and the Blood Pressure Monitor. The SpO2 sensor measures the blood oxygen level and keeps you updated regarding any drop in the oxygen saturation level. A blood pressure monitor is a very effective tool for keeping in tune with your stress levels. However, these are not regulated monitors and as such you should not rely on them for medical purposes especially the blood pressure feature.
Apart from these, you have sports support as well from this device including yoga, gym workout, and other fitness routines. To unlock all the fitness features and activities supported you need to have the “Da Fit” app. This is available on both Google Play store and the Apple App Store. At the initial set-up, the app will ask you to furnish certain personal details age, weight, and height, gender, etc. After this, the NoiseFit Sport app will be ready for use. You can then get all your vitals, activity data, and resulting analysis and cross-comparisons from this platform.
In the fitness page of this app, you will be able to view a chart and detailed graph of your workouts, targets, and achievements. You will even get your sleep analysis chart on this page. The chart details your sleep duration, timings, and deep sleep cycles.
Customizations
Noise ColorFit Pro is pretty good when it comes to offering customization options. You get to choose between three watch faces each with different sets of information, icons, and font sizes. You can even choose which alerts you want. That is to say, you can pick and choose from third-party apps on your phones to get its update alerts as well as phone notifications.
Apart from this, the wrist to wake function can also be customized as per your wish. The intensity of vibration can be changed from low to medium and high for the alarms and other alerts as well. However, do not be fooled by this. Even the high vibration intensity falls pretty low in reality. So, if you are a heavy sleeper it will be better to have a back-up plan ready if you don’t want to end up getting late.
The straps are interchangeable too and you can mix and match to suit your look and mood. The device offers you a wide option for personalization and you will have a lot of fun playing around with these controls.
Notifications and Lifestyle
All your phone notifications and third-party apps are supported by ColorFit Pro. With this device on your wrist, you will never miss any updates. On the lifestyle front, you get camera shutter control for that perfect selfie, music control which allows you to change tracks and adjust the volume as well as an alarm clock, weather updates, and calendar support.
Battery Life
ColorFit Pro offers a good battery life of 12 days on standby mode. However, the battery life drops significantly to 3 days with mixed-use involving continuous heart rate sensors, sleep sensors, and aggressive fitness feature use.
Cross – Comparison
When looking at comparisons you should always compare with two aspects in mind. Firstly you should compare it with the device’s predecessor or successor and secondly its competition in the market. Comparing it with the predecessor or successor tells you how much the brand has improved upon the device and if it is worth the extra price. Comparing with the competitors helps you analyze the features offered by the device as opposed to the ones offered by others.
Since Noise ColorFit Pro is a 1st generation device the comparison is with its successor. Both these comparisons are listed below for your convenience.

Price
The Noise ColorFit Pro is very attractively priced at Rs. 2,799/- price tag. This puts it neatly in the under Rs. 3,000/- smartwatch category. It is a budget smartwatch and the performance value matches the price tag. You will not feel like you did not get your money’s worth with this device.
Return and Exchange Policy
GoNoise provides a 10days return policy on smartwatches provided the product is unused, in original packaging and with the original tags intact. Also in case you want to cancel your order you can do so if the shipment has not been delivered and the refund will be made within 14 working days.
You can contact the customer care for a return request. They will then tie-up with their logistics support for the safe delivery of the product to their warehouse for inspection. The logistics cost is borne by the company and you do not have to pay for the courier cost involved.
In India, the GoNoise watches are also sold through third-party sellers like Flipkart and Amazon. Hence the return policy will also depend on and vary with these traders.
Guarantee or Warranty Period
GoNoise offers a one-year limited warranty on the smartwatches and 3 months limited warranty on the watch accessories. This warranty only covers manufacturer defects. It does not extend to accidents like scratches, drops, or other wearer damages.
You have the option to opt for an extended warranty at the time of purchase or any time after that by a third-party vendor. This extended cover has numerous options for damage that you can choose from.
Buy Back Schemes
GoNoise doesn’t have any buyback schemes. However, since GoNoise products are also sold through retailers in India, the buy-back scheme will depend upon their policies. Amazon and Flipkart are known to offer to buy back schemes during their big sale days. So keep an eye out for those.

Bottom Line
Noise ColorFit Pro is a good deal when you factor in the price tag it sells for. It gives you excellent value for money. You will be hard-pressed to find another smartwatch with a similar performance in this budget.
While the performance and feature set definitely needs improvement, you see this being incorporated in the successor. As such you will not be disappointed with this device in any fashion. Just keep open and realistic expectations keeping in mind the price tag.
